Capsule Geology

The Anombee area is underlain by sedimentary and volcanic strata of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group intruded by Early Jurassic quartz dioritic and high-level quartz phyric Jurassic to Tertiary felsitic intrusions.

Select rock grab sample G0750762, collected 500 metres upslope from the strongest part of soil Anomaly B, graded 2.91 per cent copper, 1.06 grams per tonne gold and 4.15 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 38858). The sample is described as an epidote-hematite altered feldspar phyric andesite flow that is cut by a 5-centimetre quartz-chalcopyrite vein. Anomaly B is 350 metres long and is open to the southeast. Individual soil results ranged up to 3460 parts per million copper with 5 samples being greater than 500 parts per million copper (Golden Ridge Resources Ltd., Press Release, January 16, 2020).

In 2019, Golden Ridge Resources Ltd collected 884 total soil samples and 2 rock samples on their More Creek Zone which encompassed 3 MINFILE occurrences including View (104G 258), South (104G 259), and Dago (104G 120). The results showed several high tenor copper-in-soil anomalies (Anomalies A-E). The View showing is located within the Anomaly C geochemical anomaly and the South showing is located within the Anomaly A geochemical anomaly.

See View for related geological and work history details. Also see Ball Creek Porphyry (Main, Mary) (104G 018) for related details and a common work history.
